My primary focus is on the study of non-traditional security and post-colonial reconstruction. My work seeks to understand how non-traditional security is conceptualised and applied in developing regions especially the African continent. My point of departure is from a hostile environment armed with war remnants. I also have interests in African studies, International humanitarian law, decoloniality, international relations, peace and conflicts studies, and the South Asian political economy.
