Dr Kaveri Gill on the right to the postcolonial city

Dr. Kaveri Gill, Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations and Governance Studies, has just published a chapter on the right to the postcolonial city.

'The informal waste sector: 'surplus' labour, detritus, and the right to the post-colonial city' traces the informal waste sector's contribution and the impact of recent policy changes in the global South on labour and employment, in the context of neoliberal hegemony and the widespread privatisation of the sector. The chapter has been published in Research Handbook on Law, Environment and the Global South edited by Philippe Cullet and Sujith Koonan.
